The Frisket Factor

Recently Frisket’s time had been divided between his two Enzos, but now that another Bob had appeared, things were getting stranger by the second. Although he had never liked Bob, he knew the Guardian held a special place in Enzo and Matrix’s heart. Although Glitch Bob was the Bob they had rescued from the Web, everyone seemed to be drawn to “Other Bob”, as Frisket thought of him.
Sure, he looked like Bob had before the Web World War, but there was something about him that made Frisket bristle. The way his smile could turn almost cruel, the way he charmed everyone around him. It wasn’t right.
Glitch Bob had seemed sad and tired since the Web and the events surrounding Daemon. His depression was becoming worse now that Other Bob was around. Dot was drawn to Other Bob. Phong, and even Matrix were having doubts about who was the original. Everyone had begun to treat him with suspicion. Even Frisket couldn’t tell them apart. But he knew for sure Glitch Bob was benign, while Other Bob was hiding something of his nature.
He had been following the two Bobs, and now they were quarrelling loudly. Dot interposed herself between them. She admonished Glitch Bob, then took him by the arm and led him a few feet a way to have a chat with him. She was treating him like a child.
Frisket turned his attention to Other Bob and watched his face closely. He had turned away from Dot and Glitch Bob so neither of them would see the cold smile of satisfaction spreading across his face.
Frisket padded towards Other Bob. Other Bob tried to smother his cruel smile when he spotted Frisket.
“Hey, boy,” he said, putting on a friendly face.
Frisket’s ears flattened against his head and he lifted his lip in a silent snarl.
Other Bob froze, and then his eyes narrowed. He got Frisket’s message loud and clear: I’m watching you.
They stared each other down, and then Other Bob sneered and turned away. Frisket snorted at the dismissal. He had gotten his message across. Now it was time to find his Enzos.
